Hi welcome to KingKlix Photography.

My name is Liz King and I live in Ballinrobe, Co.Mayo.

I am married with one child, and have always had a passion for
photography.

I have worked for 25 years as a part time artist and mural painter,
having always had a keen interest in Photography.When my child was born I was keen to document every special moment, knowing
only too well how quickly time passes. As a parent, you know that your children will grow up and all you will have left from their childhood, are
memories.

What better way to capture those memories than to catalogue them in
photographic form?
As my son grew, I tried to capture every moment for prosperity. We did the usual studio shots to commemorate birthdays etc., and while these are lovely to have, I felt that they didn’t capture the personality of my child nor did they bring the image of any particular memory to mind.
So I decided to go and study portrait photography in order to further my
ability. Having completed my course and my portfolio, I started out by being the official photographer at most family occasions, communions, christenings, confirmations etc. As time passed I also did work for many of my friends.
Now I have decided to launch this service properly, as I feel that in these
times of recession, families still require a service, but cannot always afford the cost.
I hope to offer an affordable and friendly service which is orientated
around what the client requires.

My style is informal portraiture which captures real moments in time, which are the true memories. I also do posed family shots, these are also informal and natural, and there is a nice relaxed atmosphere as there is no stiffness to the poses. I will come to your home, or place of choice, be that the local park, the
playground, the back garden or a local scenic area, and all photos are shot without the use of harsh studio lighting, which can make the subject appear washed out.
